What is the Yellow Tea Rose Foundation of NC?

The Yellow Tea Rose of NC (YTR of NC) was founded in 2006 in memory of Mrs. Hopie Perry. Mrs. Perry dreamed of helping women to further their education through awarding scholarships and creating other partnerships to help empower and educate women in the Charlotte Metro community. It is in her memory and spirit of selfless giving that the Yellow Tea Rose of NC continues to strive to uplift the women in the Charlotte metro community.

Does The Yellow Tea Rose Foundation of NC only help women attending college?

Our primary aspiration is to provide assistance to all women and children in the community, regardless of whether or not they are attending college.

What does The Yellow Tea Rose Foundation of NC do?

The Yellow Tea Rose Foundation has outlined a series of initiatives that focus, entirely, on enhancing the lives of women and children in the Charlotte Metro community.  Through scholarships, tutoring, workshops and volunteerism, we are able provide educational, social and leadership development to fulfill these objectives.

The Yellow Tea Rose Foundation is a tax-exempt, charitable organization that is recognized under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code, and all donations are tax deductible.

I can only afford to donate a small amount.  Is it worth giving at all?

Yes, every gift is worth giving and every donor is considered a valued contributor, regardless of the amount donated. There are many ways to support the initiatives of the Yellow Tea Rose Foundation of NC. These methods include: volunteering, individual monetary donations, fundraising events, and program sponsorship.
